FORCE BACKGROUND IMAGE

I'm using Unified Communication Manager (Call Manager) 7.1.5, and supporting 3000 IP Phones, I was successfully able to customize a background image for IP Phones model 9971, 7975, 7970 and 7945.

The issue: users need to select the customized image, is there a way were I can force the customized image to be the default image and display it on all the IP Phones? without using any third party application, I want to do it directly from the call manager.

Appreciate it.

Regards,

Zaid,

Zaid,

I did a write up on this a while back that may still be relevant. In the write up I talk about Cisco's Phone Designer, a method to programmitically do this, and a reference to a 3rd party app that claims to solve the problem you are talking about.

Unfortunately, you can't push this directly from CUCM.

Hi

I've written a wee application that can do this (admittedly some inspiration from Bill there). Should have it online pretty soon hopefully... watch this space.

Hi Luke

Yep - it's at www.ipcommute.co.uk

As suggested, www.voipintegration.com have a similar app and UnifiedFX www.unifiedfx.com seems to have the functionality as well.

Just remove all backgrounds from the tftp directory, and only leave/ add the background you want, this will default all phones to that one background, without the need for individual customization
