Force Change of Managment

I am in a position in which there will be a force change of management. I can handle routers and switches but I do not know Call manager and Unity. I know CME and CUE.

My question is, how do I do a change management on a full blown Call manager and Unity? Is it just changing passwords?

Also, what are some malicious things can be done and how I can prevent this.
