Dear NetPro gurus,
One of my customers have recently bought a brand new Cisco CallManager 8.0. They have also purchased a large number of Cisco 9971 phones.
The call flow is as follows:
PSTN mobile --> DN 753 --> Receptionist phone
Remark:
1) PSTN Mobile - E164 number 69001234
2) 1st IP Phone - DN 753
3) Receptionist Phone - DN 308
4) For 1st IP Phone with extn 753, for Call Forward Busy & Call Forward No Answer, it will forward the call to Receptionist Phone (DN 308).
What the customer wants is that whenever the PSTN Mobile calls 1st IP Phone, if this 1st IP Phone is CFB or CFNA, it will forward the call to Receptionist phone. But on the Receptionist phone, instead of showing the inbound Caller ID of the original caller which is the mobile phone (69001234), it should shows where the call is 'forwarded from', for instance, 753.
The customer did this by setting 'Redirected Number' and untick the 'Dialed number' on all lines, which does work and does show 'Forward for 753' on the Receptionist phone. However, the problem is that for the Receptionist phone, even when the call is terminated, the Receptionist phone's LED still shows 'Forard for 753' which is blocking the view on the LCD screen of the Receptionsit phone. And it stuck on the screen for hours until we force the Receptionist phone to reset by un-plugging the network cable.
Is this a bug or did the customer mis-configured anything??
Cheers,
Hunt

Hi Rob,
Thanks so much for your reply.
Where may I be able to download that maintenance release phone load '9.1(0)MN0.160'?
Cheers,
Hunt

Hi Hunt,
You'll need to open a TAC case and they should be able to make this available
for you via "special downloads" section
Cheers!
Rob
