fxo disconnect problem

Hi community,

i am facing a problem ,the scenario is as ,when callers from pstn call the company fxo and default is the operator so it is going to the operator but when the caller disconnect it the phone no dought disconnect but the ip phone after some time (like 1 min) start to ring again with the same unkonwn number

i have made #sh voice port su

in that the oper field is up even after the disconnect and only goes to dormant state after disconnection from the ip phone

This is a limitation of Loop Start FXO ports. There is no disconnect supervision in that scenario. Take a look at this document for some additional explination and options: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk652/tk653/technologies_tech_note09186a00800ae2d1.shtml

The best option would be to have the carrier change the lines to Ground Start.
