FXO port slow to answer

I have an FXO port setup for CP tone AU.  When someone places a call into the line, the caller hears standard AU progress tone for 3 seconds, and then the port answers and the cptone ring changes to the default CME tone. Lots of calls seem to begin with "I thought something was wrong, thats some odd ringtones you have there, etc." Is there anyway to configure the port to answer within a second so callers only hear one tone and get into the queue quicker, but leaving the port as cptone AU so it actually works properly with the AU localisation?

Config Below:

voice-port 0/0/0

supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call

compand-type a-law

cptone AU

timeouts call-disconnect 3

timeouts wait-release 3

impendance complex1

caller id enable

In addition to what Paolu suggested, please remove the command compand-type a-law. It creates for problem for you on an analogue line.

This command is only relevant for digital technologies since the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) needs to be informed of the compression type that has been used for the digital bit stream that is being received. However, for analog ports the local codec is performing the bitstream compression and expansion (compand) and always uses the u-law compand type. Therefore, the DSP always expects a u-law bit stream from an analog port codec and if that is overriden to a-law poor voice quality results.

Likely it's waiting for caller ID on the second ring. If you have no caller ID service, disable that.

Note you don't need to configure compad-type for FXO.
