FXO shared port in MGCP gateway

Hi All,

I am using MGCP gateway with the CUCM 7.0 with one PRI and four analog ports. analog ports are being used for backup purpose, which if PRI is down, analog line ONLY used for outbout call by IP phone. those analog lines have been shared with fax machine. I want for incoming call, all calls go the fax machine. if PRI is down, I need users only be able to make a call and still fax machines receive call. I used for method and none of was working. one is using calling search space in MGCP gateway and the other one is using reject translation profile in the gateway.

how can I accomplish this?

appreciate

Alex

Re: FXO shared port in MGCP gateway

Hi Alex,

A few things:

-Make the attendant DN of the FXO ports the fax machines.

-You can create a route pattern that points to a route list. That route list will point to two route groups - one with the FXO ports and one with the PRI's. Order the PRI group above the FXO ports.

I think that is about the extent of it, unless I'm understanding something wrong.

-nick
