G722 and conferencing.

Hi i have a 6.1.2 cluster and i want to setup an ad hoc conference with three phones.If is setup the conference using g722 then it fails , if i use g711 it works.From what i can see this won't work as the software conference bridge in callmanager doesn't support g722.

Is this correct? as i have bee told that when setting up the conference the calls should switch to g711

Any advice would be good.

SW does only support G711.

translation is not done internally, you require XCODER to use G722 with the SW CFB

Hi,

Apparently another engineer tested this and when the conference was setup it switched all the streams back to g711 and then back to g722 when the conference ended.

Is this possible as i didn't personally see this happen.

I read through the release notes and it says the software conference bridge supportes g711 and wideband codecs which g722 is one.
