G723 transcoder

Does anybody know Cisco voice router DSP support transcoder for G723?

This shows no G723 at all.

If that's the case how G723 works in CCM since there is region codec G723 available in CCM unless G723 talk to talk to G723.

Not sure if this is a typo error or not, but in the config pasted above, you have mentioned conference and not transcode.

Also, can you let us know the IOS version you are currently using.

AFAIK, the latest IOS supports Transcoding from G723 <--> G711 only. It does not support G723 <--> G729

Not anymore, 12.4(11)XW has now universal transcoding:

Thanks. But what the benefit to use universal transcoding? The configuration are same except one has the universal.
