Gatekeeper for voice and video between CUCM and CMEs

Hi,

I have a working setup with a centralized IOS gatekeeper providing inter-zone CAC for voice calls between CUCM and several CMEs.

I now want to add video calls (experimenting with Video Adavantage).

My initial goal is to add 1x 384k video call to the existing 4x G.729 allowed calls per site.  This would amount to 832k inter-zone bandwidth (4x16 + 768).

My problem is that my gatekeeper bandwidth does not diffrentiate between voice and video.  The 832k would allow more than 4 voice calls and could prevent the video from going through because of lack of inter-zone bandwidth (starting at the fifth voice call).

Is there a way to specify separate voice and video bandwidth on the gatekeeper (64k for voice and 768k for video) ??

Any other workarounds?

Thanks,

Eric

Here's my thought on this...

You may be able partition the GK zone into video and non-video devices by
assigning them to seperate local zones.  You could then enable interzone
BW restrictions, giving the video zones the appropriate video BW settings,
and the non-video zones the appropriate G.729 BW settings.
