Hello,

i have configured mgcp on my cucm v8 using a 2901 router as the gateway, but calls are neither coming in nor going out. After debuging i recieve the error below.

Any ideas please.

Thanks

Hi

So this called number doesn't exist, or can't be reached from the GW.

Called Party Number i = 0xC1, '4621198'

If you are using MGCP: make sure you have an 'Inbound' Calling Search Space assigned to this circuit. If necessary, add translation patterns to that CSS to map '4621198' to your internal extensions, or just set 'significant digits' on the circuit in CCMAdmin to 4 (e.g. if your internal extension is 1198).

If using H.323 you need dial peers setting up, let us know if that's the case.

Simply, change the MGCP port configuration to use significantDigits of 4, this way CUCM will only extend the last 4 digits which will match the DN. Also, make sure the CSS applied to that port has access to the partition assigned to the phone DN.

Chris

Have you leased 30 B channels, or a smaller number? Check with telco.

Hello Paolo,

I am using PRI channels....i have two E1's coming the the telco leasing 31 channels.

Hi,

You are trying to use channel 31

Your SP is clearing the call saying that this channel (31) does not fit.

Are you sure you have all 30 channels from the SP.

Alex

Hello acampbell,

i have leased two E1's from the SP with service number 4621100-99. The SP are claiming they are giving all 30 channels

So complain to telco and show them the trace you took.

They will say that all is good on their side, to which you should reply inviting them on your premises, and place a test call on channel 31 using their own test equiopment. Make sure you observe the results with your own eyes when they do that.

will get back to the telco and see how we can resolve the issue.....

will also get back to u with there update

thanks

hello guys...

Happy new year.

I was able to contact the telco and finally calls can go out.....but i have a little problem which is i can't get incoming calls but the call reaches my router. Below is the output of the debug when i place an incoming call from my GSM

Hi aaronharrison,

I am using MGCP and i have 3 CSS which are assigned to different phones.I am using CUCM 8.0.3 and i cant find significant digit" under the CCMAdmin page. The PSTN number is 46211xx and the extension is 1198.

Do i need to create another CSS for inbound.

Simply, change the MGCP port configuration to use significantDigits of 4, this way CUCM will only extend the last 4 digits which will match the DN. Also, make sure the CSS applied to that port has access to the partition assigned to the phone DN.

Thanks guys...

After changing the significant digit it started working.
