I need to figure how what gateway or device I would use to handle 200 concurrent SIP calls over a SIP trunk to a SIP provider.
Would I split across multiple routers?
Would it be a ISR with a CUBE with proper licensing?
Would I need lots of DSP resources?
Are there tools available?
I need to handle the associated MTPs and IOS conference bridge with a Max of 20.
We are running Call Manager 7.1.5 today.
Go to Solution.
Not sure which is the right number because you mention 150 in the title but then 200.
All the figures I'll mention are for CUBE usage.
A 2911 can handle 200 calls in flowthru as max, but that would be too tight.
A 2921 can handle 400 calls in same conditions.
Flow around numbers are higher for each. (800/1500)
If you need SW MTP as well, then a 2921 support Max 220 calls.
2951 handles 330.
You can use the DSP calculator to size the MTP and CFB, just leave the TDM page blank.

Thanks for the feedback and good catch. The numbers say 150 but I keep thinking that I need to scale for 200.
