I have 2 GWs registered to GK.

When I do show gatekeeper endpoints, it lists both GWs, but the Type column is different.

One GW is shown as H323-GW, the other as VOIP GW.

10.1.1.2 1720 10.1.1.2 53681 gw1 H323-GW

H323-ID: gw1@cisco.com

10.1.1.3 1720 10.1.1.3 58117 gw2 VOIP-GW

H323-ID: gw2@cisco.com

Both GWs are configured identically( voip interface, voice service voip, gateway, similar dial peers, etc.)

GW2 has some issues where it is not working properly in some situations.

I was thinking that GW type might have anything to do with it.

Here is the question. What makes a GW to register to GK as H323-GW or VOIP-GW?

thanks.

I figured it out.

allow-connections h323 to h323 will register it as H323-GW type.
