Hello.
I'm looking for a following step-by-step guides:
1) How to register Cisco IP Communicator with Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6
2) How to register Cisco Unified Personal Communicator with Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6
Thanks in advance.

Hey Sergey,
Both devices you have to add like a normal phone: device > phone > add new
1. Will use MAC address of computer installed on. Full guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5475/products_tech_note09186a008026d36f.shtml
2. Here you go whole guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupc/1_2/english/installation/guide/cupc_ig_1_2.html

Hi.
1. Instead of MAC address field, there is Device Name in Cisco IP Communicator configuration. Is there any strict restrictions of filling it or I must just fill it with MAC address of PC that has IPC installed?
2. If I correctly understand this guide, to make CUPC work I will need not only CUCM6, but Cisco Unified Presence server and LDAP directory, right? So, in this case I can't register CUPC directly with Call Manager 6

1. use SEP
2. You can always try to register but CUPC use CUPS to get information from.

Hi.
1. Thanks. I'm successfully register few CIPC instances with my CUCM6.
2. I've checked Release Notes for CUPC one more time. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupc/7_0/english/release/notes/ol15710.html#wp39653
It says that having CUCM+CUPS+LDAP is mandatory for CUPC operations. So, I suppose I can use only CIPC with only CUCM6 installed.
