H.323 Gateway configuration for 2 PRI........

Hi All,

Please Help me......

We have CUCM 7.1 installed and running smoothly. They have 1 PRI line (200 number blocks) in the range XXXX7000 (Everything is working perfectly). Now they are adding one more PRI line (200 number blocks) in the range XXXX7400.  They are using Cisco 2951 as H323 voice gateway and both the PRI line terminating on the same voice gateway.  Now customer wants to use new PRI line extensions as secondary extension to each IP Phones.

My query is that how to configure the dial-peers for this on voice gateway router and how to configure Route List, Route group and Route Pattern for this....

Hi Rupesh.

If the DID reflects directory numbers, you can configure an incoming dialpeer in the same way you have the DP for the other DID.

For outgoing calls, if you want only some extensions to select the new circut to call out, you have to create new route patterns on different partition with the ssme destination applying an outgoing prefix . Than you should create new CSS for extensions using the new circuit and apply it to relative directory numbers.

In your Voice Gateway you'll configure dial-peers mathcing configured prefix and set the correct destination voice port.

Eg.

CUCM RP

9.!

Prefix Digit 777

VG Dialpeer

dial-peer voice 700 pots

destination-pattern 9777T <---- access conde 9 + prefix digits will be  stripped off because of a pots dialpeer

port 0/1/0:15

Route Lists and Route Groups should not change

For outbound simply create a trunk group on the GW and add both pris to the trunk group and lastly update the dial peers to point to the trunk group rather than the port.
