Hi
Can anyone clarify if it is possible to integrate fax transmission with different gateway types such as MGCP and H323.
Any pointers to a good white paper on this integration would be helpful.

Bill,
First you need to confirm that your gateways will support your desired mode (Cisco fax relay, T38, or passthrough)with H323 or MGCP. Here is the compatibility matrix.

We use Cisco fax relay with H323 for router fax FXS ports and MGCP for 6608 PRIs. This has been very solid -- much more so than all MGCP signalling.
