Hi,
Is the ios feature set for h323 gateway able to run is ip plus an AS54XX router?
I am currently trying ot configure H323 gateway to call the remote end. so far haven't been successful.
setup:
ip phone --ccm 4 ---as54xx----internet ---phone
csim start from as54xx to remote phone is ok.
but from local ip phone to the remote phone, call is not successful.
From the debug dialpeer and debug ccapi inout output, calling and called digits are passed to the router by ccm.
I got the "----- ccCallInfo IE subfields -----" with the correct ani and destination.
00:22:28:MatchNextPeer:Peer 2222
matched
00:22:28:MatchNextPeer:Peer 2223
matched
00:22:28:dpMatchPeersMoreArg:Result=0 after MATCH_ORIGINATE
It seems after matching the dialpeer, as5xx doesn't forward the call. as far as i know, ip plus will run h323 just fine. pls do correct me if i am wrong.
dial-peer voice 2222 voip
session target ipv4:x.x.x.x
destination pattern 001..........
dial-peer voice 2223 voip
session target ipv4:x.x.x.x
destination pattern 001..........
dial-peer voice 1435 voip
session target ipv4:x.x.x.x -->ccm ip
destination pattern T
using G711ulaw codec.
Another question is do i need the ip phone to be able to ping the remote ip phone in order to complete the connection(to check the routing having private ip on the ip phone and ccm)?

Hi,
For this to work, you need an image supporting IP to Ip gateway. Possibly, the one that you have does not.
Under "voice service voip" check that you have "allow-connection h323 to h323"
and under the dial-peer, "codec transparent"
See this link for more info about IP-to-IP GW:
http://cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5640/index.html
The alternative, is to realize IP connectivity directly between CCM and the phone, skipping the AS500 altogether.

I see. And i thought it will be just basic dial-peer for this to work.
Thanks for the info. Will test this.
