It seems that the default behaviour of the Cisco phones is to send audio to both the handset and the headset when using a headset.
The 3rd generation phones according to the bug for Unified Call Manager (http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsz35375) apparently support separate audio paths.
The bug mentions a configuration setting for Unified Call Manager to disable the handset audio when using the headset. Is there a similar setting in CME?

Hi
The process for this will be similar to the one here : http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmevideo.html#wp1015927
Basically 'video capability' is a product-specific config, and the command show in the above link sets it (service phone videoCapability 1).
You should be able to punch in :
telephony-service
service phone handsetHeadsetMonitor 0
create cnf-files
Then restart the phones..

Perfect! Thank you so much, that works really well.
Out of interest is there any more complete list of these other "vendor config" options or some way of discovering these additional options that are not mentioned in the normal CME reference?
