How can I edit/add/remove speed dial assignements thru CLI

Hello,

I was wondering if you could give me some help on how to remove/edit the speed dials assgigned to a specific extension.

On my phone display is showing  other person name ( as this person was set up as speed dial #1)

also want to remove the labels on speed dials.

Start mentioning system type and version you're using.

THe Cisco IP phones are 7941,7942,7962

the phone system is 2911 router, if you could let me know how can i cehck the version i can try.

You can edit these with CLI under ephone, or from the phone GUI.

Restart phone after done editing.

yes, that's why I post this question asking for the syntax of the command to edit/delete the speed dials and labels.

It will work if you copy the whole link... You're missing .html...

You should review the whole guide as it contains all the CME config.

Hi,

    Here is the information on speeddial,

Please use the "no" form of the command to remove the speeddial or label. just use the command 'restart' in the ephone to apply the change on the actual phone.

For example,

ephone 1

mac-address 1234.5678.ABCD

button 1:24 2:25

speed-dial 1 +5002 label Receptionist

speed-dial 2 +5001 label Security

use no form, to remove it,

ephone 1

mac-address 1234.5678.ABCD

button 1:24 2:25

no speed-dial 1 +5002 label Receptionist
