how can the xml phone service directory entries exceed 32 items

Hi,

Try to setup a corporate speed dials like the followings, but it can only work for the speed dials entries no more than 32 entries. How can we setup this xml service so that the entries can exceed 32? or have the similar option as Corporate Directory service "more" options when entries exceed 32?

CUCM version 7.x.

- <CiscoIPPhoneDirectory>
<Title>Cisco Corporate Speed Dials Directory</Title>
- <DirectoryEntry>
<Name>Shze Chew Lee</Name>
<Telephone>140</Telephone>
</DirectoryEntry>
- <DirectoryEntry>
<Name>Sherman Scholten</Name>
<Telephone>130</Telephone>
</DirectoryEntry>
- <DirectoryEntry>
<Name>Josh Bottum</Name>
<Telephone>186</Telephone>
</DirectoryEntry>
</CiscoIPPhoneDirectory>
Thanks,

Re: how can the xml phone service directory entries exceed 32 it

The CiscoIPPhoneDirectory XML object supports a maximum of 32 entries.

To do what you want use multiple CiscoIPPhoneDirectory XML objects and front end them with the CiscoIPPhoneMenu object - see example below:

  Directory

  Choose Entry

    Names A to  M

    The URL associated with the CiscoIPPhoneDirectory file with A through M

    Names N to  Z
    The URL associated with the CiscoIPPhoneDirectory file with N through Z

Ifyou have lots of entries though you would be better storing them in a SQL database and writing a script to search it.
