How do I know whether CTL is used or not

Recently Cisco anounced the Security Advisory: Cisco Unified Communications Manager CTL Provider Heap Overflow.

My question is how can I know whether customer is using CTL or not? CCM is 4.2. Thanks.

Check if Security Mode is enabled under Enterprise PArameters
