How do I reset the cisco ip 7941 phones that have stopped logging missed/placed/received calls

Hi,

 

I need to reset the cisco ip 7941 phones that have stopped logging missed/placed/received calls. I tried the below but for some reason the "More" option is not there:

 

My phone used this version of the instructions:

 

1.   Press settings button on phone

2.   Select Security Configuration

3.   Select Trust List

4.   Select ITL File (there should be a padlock sign next to it)

5.   Press More for other options

6.   Press Erase

 

Once you press ‘Erase’, the phone will re-register itself. Then leave yourself a missed call and see if it works. This should resolve the issue.

 

 

 

But a user needed an extra step for it to work for him:

 

1.   Press settings button on phone

2.   Select Security Configuration

3.   Select Trust List

4.   Select ITL File (there should be a padlock sign next to it)

5.   Dial **#

6.   Press More for other options

7.   Press Erase

 

Once you press ‘Erase’, the phone will re-register itself. Then leave yourself a missed call and see if it works. This should resolve the issue.

You can try a hard reset with the IP Phone.

1 - Unplug the phone from its power source

2 - Press the "#" keypad then re-connect the power source while pressing the "#' keypad. Keep it for around 20 seconds. The line buttons will start to blink.

3 - Release the "#" keypad and press "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * 0 #"

4 - The phone will reboot and will start initiation process.

I'm a little confused here so I want you to explain something to me.

Do you want the phone to log records again or do you want the "More" button to appear? Because that depends on the phone model buddy.
