How to add a Remote Site Call Manager Express's into a CUCM 6.1 Cluster

we would like asistance on creating a H323 trunk between a CUCM 6.1 cluster and a CME.

We do not want to convert this remote site to SRST at this time just enable on-net calling between environments

We have created the trunk and dial plan on the CUCM but need assistance wth the remote side.

How do we create the trunk? Dial peers and translation patterns?

The CUCM uses 9 digit inter-cluster dialling but the remote site only uses 4 digit dialling, so we will need to add/strip digits on the remote CME.

Thank you for any assisatnce.

Don't set a trunk, configure CME as an H323 GW.

On CUCM it's as easy as that, GW - RG - RL and a route pattern.

On CME to dial just configure a voip dial-peer to CUCM, make sure signaling comes from the same IP you configured in CUCM or it will be rejected.

If you need to send 4 digits to CME you can configure called party transformation mask in route pattern to XXXX (i assume you want to send only last 4 digits) For the incoming calls you can also remove digits by using the significant digits as well.
