Hi,

Im tryign to get my Cisco IP Communicator version 8.6.1 to work with Cisco Unified Video Advantage 2.0.2. but im getting that the Video advantage is not connected to any phone.

I have made the Video advantage work with a 7942 phone but its not working with the CIPC.

What i think is missing is the enable Video Capability on the CIPC but i cant find where to enable it on the CUCM 8.6 its just not existing in the phone setting to enable it.

Hi

Did you add the phone as SIP or SCCP?

If you add it as SIP you don't get the video option. From the release notes for CIPC 8.6 :

When Cisco IP Communicator is using SIP as its call-control protocol, it does not interoperate with. Cisco Unified Video Advantage.

Delete it and add it again as SCCP if you need the feature.

As you can see there is not Video capabilities option, its a CUCM 8.6

Yes, I confirmed it in my lab CUCM 8.6.1.20000-1 system ( i.e. CUCM 8.6.1a ) & I can see it there. What is your exact CUCM 8.6 version shown on CUCM admin main page ?

GP.

Dear Gajanan

it is a System version: 8.6.2.20000-2
