Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Hi,

You need:

voice register global

authenticate realm

voice register dn 17

number 2017

voice register pool 17

id mac 0000.0000.0000

number 1 dn 17

dtmf-relay rtp-nte

username password

Set username, password and realm in the phone. The phone must attempt to register the same number as in "voice register dn".

Hope this helps, if so please rate post!

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Which IOS version are you using?

Username and password are entered in "voice register pool" mode. The mac you enter does not matter, you can put anything.

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

So username is supported in your IOS. I suggest to configure username same as registering number in the (soft)phone, to simplify the configuration.

Hope this helps, if so please rate post!

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

hi now i made all parameters same.

voice register global

max-dn 192

max-pool 48

!

voice register dn 100

number 100

number 1 dn 100

dtmf-relay rtp-nte

also when i am giving username 100 password 100

its coming out of "voice-register-pool" mode.

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Hi,

This is very strange. Under "voice register pool", with the same IOS, I can configure:

ccme(config-register-pool)#?

voice register pool configuration commands:

after-hour After-hours call blocking

alias Associate alias pattern

application Define application

blf-speed-dial Define BLF speed dial ip-phone button

call-waiting Enable the call-waiting option for SIP phone

check-version send check-version msg to TNP phone

codec select the preferred codec to be used for SIP phone

cor Class of Restriction on dial-peer for this dn

description Define description for SIP phone

dialplan Associate a dialplan

dnd Turn on DND feature

dtmf-relay Transport DTMF digits across IP link

exit Exit from voice register pool configuration mode

fastdial Define ip-phone fastdial number

id define phone or device id

incoming Incoming called number

keep-conference Enable the conference when initiator drop-off

no Negate a command or set its defaults

number Define E.164 telephone number

preference Configure the preference for the voip dial-peers to be

created

presence enable call list feature

proxy Define SIP proxy for this pool

reset reset SIP phone

restart restart the SIP phone

session-transport Define the transport type to TNP phone

speed-dial Define ip-phone speed-dial number

template template tag used for SIP phone

type Define sip-phone type

username define username for authenticate

vad Enable vad on dial-peer and phone

voice-class Set voice class parameters

I'm using an IP-to-IP GW images, however it should not make any difference. Also other people can register 3rd party phone to CCME.

We should find out why "username" is not valid under "voice register pool" for you.

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Hi,

this reduced set of commands is the one typical of older IOS versions. It is like the router is not actually running the images you mentioned. Can you do a "show version", "show flash" please ?

New Member

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

hi,

this is the router ios i have got from show version.

also its the only ios in router otherwise it wont comeup.

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Can you don show telephony-service and paste it here ? I don't know how to explain this behavoir of not having the features running the correct image. Can you you check if you have any boot statement in config, perhaps an old image is somewhat booted.

New Member

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

can u tell me which ios you are running or u can suggest me some. i will try to upload new image.

Hall of Fame Super Gold

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Hi,

There is no 12.4T image in the flash. Insteas, there is a 12.4 non T image, that when booted would produce the results you are saying.

If there is one and only image in the flash, it will boot without need for "boot commands". Also if you cold just capture the whole boot process from console that would help.

Re: how to register 3rd party sip to CME

Hi,

You need a more recent version of 12.4T, note that with the IOS you mentioned you do not have CME 4.1 but more likely 3.4.
