How Upgrade Cisco 7940/7960 Firmware

Hi,

I took the day trying to upgrade my phone firmware Cisco 7940, but it did not.

Somebody help me, or any man known to follow step by step. I am trying flasear ROM with TFTP32 but not you.

I want to put a version SIP 8.7, but I do not know how to use it.

The data are:

DHCP server: 192.168.1.1

MAC ADRRESS: 00141CAAXXXX

IP address: 192.168.1.35

SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0

TFTP server: 192.168.1.1

DEFAULT ROUTER: 192.168.1.1

DHCP ENABLES: YES

ALTERNATE TFTP: NO

Somebody help me?

Try using TFTP server from SolarWinds. It's free to download.

Make sure too that you have unzipped and placed all of the correct files in the root directory of the TFTP server.

•OS79XX.TXT-This file will now always contain the universal application loader image.

•P003.........bin-Nonsecure universal application loader for upgrades from pre-5.x images.

•P003.........sbn-Secure universal application loader for upgrades from images 5.x or later.

•P0a3.........loads-File that contains the universal application loader and application image, where "a" represents the protocol of the application image loads file: 0 for SCCP, S for SIP, and M for MGCP.

•P0a3.........sb2-Application firmware image, where "a" represents the application firmware image: 0 for SCCP, S for SIP, and M for MGCP.
