Callmanager Express 4.2 with 5 SCCP phones. Customer runs 2 separate businesses. When a call comes in from FXO or SIP channel it will ring all phones because anyone in office should be able to answer calls. But we'd like to be able to identify which number was called so that the staff can answer the phone with the correct business name i.e. "Good mornning thank you for calling Company A".
Is there a way to show the called number instead of the calling number on the phone? Or is there a way to prefix a caller name to the incoming number so it might show "Company A:12345678" or perhaps replace the number with a name instead?
Yes, you should be able to overwrite with "station-id number", or manipulate the calling number. That would let you prefix info digits like 3*. It is done with voice translations rules and profiles. Easy to find the guide for it on CCO.
