iDivert vs RNA Issue

I have a customer with an Avaya S8700 and Modular Messenging voice mail.  We've installed a Cisco CUCM (7.1.3) behind a 2900 router with a QSIG E1 connected to the S8700.  Everything wokrs great.  In/out calls, caller-id, name display, MWI, etc.  The only thing not working is if a call from an Avaya phone or PSTN comes into a Cisco phone and the iDivert button is hit.  It goes the the Avaya VM system ok, but ends ups in the main greeting.  If, however, the call is left to ring with no answer, it forwards to VM and ends up in the correct voice mail box with no issue.

VM obviously has no idea which number forwarded the call to it when iDivert is hit, but it does with a RNA.  Why would there be a difference?

Here's the "debug isdn q931" traces for each.  Doing a hex-to-ascii conversion, you can see that the additional "facility i" message in the RNA trace contains the desired mailbox.  Changing the Display and Redirect IE Delivery settings on the MGCP gateway unfortunately doesn't seem to make a difference.

Todd,

Take a look at the Call Manager service parameter "Allow QSIG during iDivert". I think that you will want to enable this if it isn't enabled already.

HTH.

Bill
