IM and presence service co-resident with cucm

Hi,

I have done an upgrade of cucm 8.5.1 to 9.1.1.10000-11 and now I would like to install IM and Presence service on the same server of CUCM.

I have downloaded "UCSInstall_CUP_9.1.1.10000-8.sgn" file but I cannot install it on the CUCM server.

How can I do that ?

You cant do that. You need to install IM and presence on another server.

Also our sales people got a little confused, since version 9

The wording in some documentation from Cisco is not that clear.

Cisco talks about tight integration of CM and CUPS etc.

The thing that has changed is that some configuration has moved from CUPS to CM (which is good!)

But still you need a separate server for CUPS.
