Hi all,
Very important when designing ToIP solution !
Is there any method that allows us to have a same EM PIN and Voice Mail Password whithin a single ToIP infrastructure

all the info is pulled into the CUCM DB, including pwds. if you check the authentication then the pwd from cucm will be compared against the one in AD.
this is done to enforce authentication but if it's not enabled all the info is stored locally and an AD outage won't affect this

you certainly can enable EM to be numeric only and use the same PIN for VM but the DBs are not connected at that level and changing one does not change the other, it's manually defined on each system.

Hi,
This means that I can only import users from CCM except passwords that must be set locally ?
I think also that it is possible to synchronize with an AD and activate authentication so the passwords in this case are stored in the AD . do you confirm that ?

Hi,
In addition to the previous info.
The PIN is to be used with any services you'll access through your IP phone
The password is to be used with any web interaction or third application
You can modify them from the user conf page
