I have CM 6 and use an MGCP gateway with a PRI. I provide caller id that includes name and number of our inbound calls. We now have a compliance line that has to be anonymous. I do I selectively block caller id from callers calling into my compliance hot line. Or maybe change the caller id to a fake number? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gary Asher

This is asked over and over again, and the answer would have been relealed with a simple search.
Since you are using MGCP, there is no way whatsoever to do that.
It is instead possible when using H.323 or SIP.

Thank you for your reply. By the way I did search and found many pages of post. I looked through them and did not find anything with blocking selective inbound caller id.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Basically with MGCP you cannot route on calling number, meaning no anonymous screening, no caller hotlist, no geographical call routing, etc.
All that and more is possible with H.323 or SIP because the VG retains intelligence.
