Inbound Calls fail PSTN Gateway

Hello Friends,

I´m working with CUCM 6.1 and route pattern and calls to PSTN. I´m receiving and sending 4 digits from PSTN at MGCP Gw.

MGCP Gw -> PSTN (4digits)      OK

Phones -> Phones (4 digits)      OK

PSTN -> MGCP Gw (4 digits)     NOK

CSS   OK

Partitions    OK

0.2[^1]XXXXXX          part_local_Chicureo (look m3 file)

Any another idea?

Your gateway is not responding to the setup request from the PSTN. That is strange and weird.  What is the status of your isdn?

sh isdn status

hi Ayodeji,

I have one router 2811 with one e1 card and with mgcp register to cucm 11.

everything about registration is fine but incoming calls failed. please help me to solve this problem.

very thanks.

Try to reset the Gateway. Is there any transaltion pattern configured ?

Selvarathnam,

Reset Gateway Ok

Reset MGCP Service Ok

Gateway does not have any translation pattern.

I suggest you upgrade the IOS on the router first. You should also remove the service mgcpapp under your dial-peers. Thats an old command that you dont need any more..

If you upgrade IOS and you delete the mgcpapp command the problem goes on.....

Can you give me any specific solution?

Hi Claudio.

Hi Claudio.

On your CUCM, check with the route plan report if you have overlapping pattern..

In case, modify the inbound Calling search space on gateway (ports) matching internal extensions only.

Another option, is to decrease the t301 timer... but first check the routing.,

HTH

Regards

Carlo

Carlo,

The gateway is not even responding to the call setup...I doubt if this is routing related...This is an inbound call...

On the q931 setup message, the gateway need to respond with a q931 setup ACK
