Incoming call from the PSTN to fxo still ringing after the caller disconnect

Dear All

,

I have an issue with the incoming calls on the fxo ports of Cisco 2811 mgcp VG ,that is registered on CUCM 7.1.3 ,the issue is if the PSTN callers disconnect the call before the called number catch the call, the (called number which is the attendant DN that configured under this port),called number  still ringing after the caller disconnect the call.

The voice gateway running this version:(c2800nm-adventerprisek9-mz.124-21.bin ) .

Any advice for this issue?

Thanks,

Ahmed Ellboudy

The calls do not disconnect because the router never knows that the call has been disconnected.

Telco can send Disconnect Supercision either as battery-denial, battery-reversal or one of the methods highlghted in the document.

Try to configure cptone applicable to your local region and see if it makes any difference.

Actually, most telco in the world do not use any method beside sending tones.

Configuring cptone is rarely enough.

Disconnect tone must be configured explcitely with its frequencies and durations.

This is a classic case of disconnect supervision issue

...

If you have connection plar configured on the FXO port,

try changing it to connection plar opx.

And find out from your telco what disconnect supervision

mechanism they are using to configure the router to

detect the same and return the port onhook.

OP is using MGCP, consequently "plar opx" cannot be used.
