incoming calls on sip trunk

cisco 2651XM router

IOS: c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.T8.bin

cme: 4.1

four ip phones:7940G

I have four 7940 phones, two of which (ephone 3 and 4) I use to make PSTN calls over sip trunk. In order for the two phones to be able to call out, both have to be configured with my sip number, but the problem is that when I get an incoming sip call both ephone-4 and ephone-3 rings (naturally) and I'd like it to be that only ephone 3 rings, but both can call out.

attached is the ephone section of my running config. Thanks for any advice.

Sorry about that,

add 'voice' behind translation-rule 1

Re: incoming calls on sip trunk

You're not explaining your full setup.

You want two phones to call via sip, and the others ?

Re: incoming calls on sip trunk

This actually isn't the best way to do this.

You would give phones 3 and 4 different DNs, and only phone 3 has the correct DN. Phone 4 would have a dummy DN configured.

And then you do one of two things:

1) sip-ua

calling-info pstn-to-sip from number set

2) outgoing translation profile

translation-rule 1

rule 1 /.*/ /5551234/

translation-profile set-sip-number

translate calling 1

dial-peer voice 1 voip

destination-pattern 9.T

translation-profile outgoing set-sip-number

Re: incoming calls on sip trunk

thanks for the info, I was following your instructions but when I got to..

vpn(config)#translation-rule 1

vpn(config-translate)#rule 1 /.*/ /5551234/

Incorrect format for Translation Match Pattern

regular expression must be of the form ^(\^)?(\+)?([0-9,A-F.*%?#]+)$

Invalid match pattern string input /.*/

add 'voice' behind translation-rule 1
