Incoming PSTN Calls

Dear Friends

I have an issue with my ip phones, i want all the phones (5) to ring when the call lends at the router. can any one please help me with this, the system is working fine just wanna resolved the above issue. There are four 7912 phone and one 7940 phone

You should probably mention if you're using Communications Manager or Communications Manager Express and what version of it.

Looks like you want a shared line or overlaid DN.

You need to assign the same ephone-DN on all the ephones.

ephone-dn 1

number 1000

ephone 1

button 1:1

ephone 2

button 1:1

ephone 5

button 1:1

Hi Aamir,

It's not quite like that. You can see the configuration guide for CME 4.0 shared lines will utilize a number of overlaid. Note that each DN will only have 2 channels, so for 5 lines you will want to use more than one DN like the example that Pedro provided. If you want each user to be able to have 2 lines ( in this case a maximum of 10) you will want to configure 5 dual line DNs.
