Can I install CSA on desktop? Will it protect from viruses?

I suggest you post your question on the security forum. Cisco does have client based CSA which if configured correctly can detect intrution and prevent it. CSA is not anti-virus it's intrution detetion which essentailly detects abnormal activity on your PC such as software intallation, registry changes, etc which may be caused by a virus.

As Chris suggested, this would receive a better response posted in the Security forums.
That being said, CSA 6.0 does include integrated signature based antivirus in the form of ClamAV.
