Installing CCM 5.1 on a HP DL380 G4

Hi,

Trying to install CCM 5.1 on a brand new HP DL380 G4 Server.

Can't get the CCM 5.1 CD to boot on this HP DL380 G4 Server. Have tried using the SmartStart 7.6 CD to assist on OS install - but the only operating systems listed are Windows 2000, 2003 and Novell.

What am I missing ? something obvious ?

Have tried booting the CCM 5.1 CD on another server (a Cisco MCS 7835H) and it appears to work...

All 5.x disks are DVD. I assume you have a DVD drive in the server... Also the server must meet the HW spec.

Mike, you are right. Embarrassing to admit it, but after 3 hours of reading PDF files noticed that the HP DL 380 G4 server only had a CD ROM drive ! even though it was a high spec with 2GB RAM
