Intercom Line Appearance

I am having a issue setting up the intercom feature on some of my 7965s. Running CUCM 8.5...

I followed the guid as well as this post

The odd thing is when I configure the line appearence for the intercom it does not show up on the phone. Also when I press the button that I assigned nothing happens at all.

Has anyone ran into this?

The odd thing is when I configure the Intercom line appearence on the button the phone never displays the line text or speed dials the intercom DN. Its like its a dead button even thought in CUCM you can see that the button is programed for a intercom with a label.

Thanks to TAC this is solved.

In the Intercom Directory Number Settings the default activated device must be populated.

Also tells you this at the bottom of the page:

Required FieldRequired FieldRequired Field Default Activated Device must be provisioned for Intercom Line to be active.

Was staring me right in the face.
