I have a customer who is having intermitent one way audio issues.  I have checked all of the normal things and am now scouring the logs.  I have seen this in the Console log of every phone having the issue but can find no information on what it means.

ERR 10:43:06.775802 DSP: wcTrans*** Invalid response 5
ERR 10:43:06.776585 DSP: Tone*** Connect/disconnect fails: -1
ERR 10:43:06.800829 DSP: wcTrans*** Invalid response 5
ERR 10:43:06.801610 DSP: Tone*** Connect/disconnect fails: -1
ERR 10:43:06.945799 DSP: wcTrans*** Invalid response 5
ERR 10:43:06.946588 DSP: Tone*** Connect/disconnect fails: -1
ERR 10:43:07.110835 DSP: wcTrans*** Invalid response 5

Anyone seen this or know where I can find out what it means?

Thanks in advance.

Justin

Hello,

So could you tell us a little more info on what you have tried so far? Typically one way audio is indicative of a network issue. When the issue occurs have you verified that transmit and receive packets are incrementing on both phones and on the gateway?

Could you provide a little more info on when this occurs.

Are only calls from pstn effected?

Are on-net calls effected?

Does this only happen to calls over the wan?

As for the error you see on the dsp, are those from the exact time when the issue occurs, or just something you noticed in logs?

Could you provide 'show voice dsp group all'
