internal and external calls

is there a way to differentiate between internal and external calls. e.g. can you change the ring tones?

Yes and no!

The system already differentiates - external calls should cause a 'double ring' whereas internal cause a 'single ring'.

It's harder to spot this with some custom ring tones... but you should be able to test and hear the difference between 'ring' and 'ring ring' once you know what you're listening for.

What you can't do is have completely different ring tones, unless you were to go down the complicated route of having seperate lines for internal and external calls on each phone, and setting different tones on each line. This would also require 7941 or better phones if I recall correctly.
