Hello,
After upgrading our CCM from 4.1.3 to 4.2.3,when we use IP communicator 2.0.2 we are not able to select a ringtone anymore.
The problem is that when you click the ?chirp1? or ?chirp2? ringtone, you get the ?ringlist unavailable? message.
Has anyone an idea how to solve it?
The ringlist.xml and all files are well stored in the TFTP path of the server.
Thanks
Kurt

Hi Kurt,
1. Go to Service Parameters >> TFTP >> Advanced
2. Set both these parameters to False
a. Enable Caching of Constant and Bin Files at Startup
b. Enable Caching of Configuration Files
3. Click On Update
4. Restart TFTP Service
5. Go to path c:\program files\cisco\tftppath and send me these files:
ringlist.xml and distinctiveringlist.xml
6. Go to Service Parameters >> TFTP >> Advanced
7. Set both these parameters to True
a. Enable Caching of Constant and Bin Files at Startup
b. Enable Caching of Configuration Files
8. Click On Update
9. Restart TFTP Service
10. Reboot one phone and check if it has all the rings
The IPC is connected via VPN or same issue in the LAN ?
Had a case a year ago and the problem was the VPN.
Let us know

Hi there,
Yes,i had this case once too.
But then, the customer opened his IPC at hme via VPN and it asked to upgrade. After that, the problem was gone.
But now we are in a situation were we already have the latest release.
The problem is on the LAN and i guess via VPN also.
I already asked to reset his TFTP service but i will follow your procedure by putting the parameters to false and then true again.
I suppose i can do this during business hours,it will not influence the performance of the server,i guess.
Kind regards,
Kurt
