I checked tftp debug log:

Jan  9 02:00:32.841: TFTP: Finished flash:/its/vrf1/SEP60EB695EB160.cnf.xml, time 00:00:30 for process 30

I also checked SEP60EB695EB160.cnf.xml file, it contains all apropriate info including Russian locale settings

What seems somewhat strange is that IPC experiences problems with getting SEP60EB695EB160.cnf.xml file - no idea why it happens because the config is really basic and the phone eventually gets its config (its number etc), so there must be another reason for the trouble with locale.

Any ideas?..

Hi

Did you try to remove all IPC cached configuration  files from the PC where IP Communicator is installed on?

Hi Carlo,

thank you for your answer!

How would one remove cached info?

I tried uninstalling initial version of IPC (7.0) and installing ver. 8.6, but it doesn't work either.

Regards,

T.

Hi.

Try with settings Button , **# and then erase. on the IPC or delete all files in the following windows directory.

C:\Documents and Settings\"user"\application data\Cisco\Communicator\cache for xp

C:\Users\"user"\AppData\Roaming\Cisco\Communicator\cache for Windows 7.

HTH

It's driving me mad.

Now, after starting IPC again (at hundrendth time) it received xml file and changed its locale even without having to clear cache. The only diffrence was that I placed my PC in local network rather than connecting it to LAN via VPN, as I did before.

What the h**l was going on??

Anyway, Carlo, thank you very much for your willingness to help!

T.

Hi.

You are welcome.

Just another tip.

Check the clock of your router and, if ok, create again CNF files under telephony service config.

Regards

Carlo

The thing is that the clock settings are OK, see the output:

Cisco2911#sh clock

So no idea why telephony service doesn't take it into account, even after I make create cnf-files command. It also goes without saying that the command user-locale RU load CME-locale-ru_RU-Russian-8.8.2.3.tar automatically updates cnf files.
