Hi,
We recently moved from an ICS 7750 solution to a Cisco Router 2901 with CME/CUE.
When I launch my the IPC software, it seems to boot up. I can see our directories, etc. But the user extension/name do not appear.
What CLI information is missing here?
Thanks,
Phil....

Sounds like CIPC auto registered to CME but there was no ephone-dn available to assign to the ephone.
Look at the configuration of CME and check to see if there is an ephone defined with the mac-address of the CIPC PC and no "button" configuration.

hmm...IPC? U trying to register and use CIPC with CME ?
If yes, did u build an ephone and associate DNs for it
in CME?
Please provide more info...

Yeah, just add the button CLI for CIPC ephone to tie the DN (ephone-dn)
and then reset/restart the ephone.

Okay, I notice that there is no ephone assigned for the CIPC.
The user already has an ephone-dn assigned. So, would the config look similar to this?
ephone-dn 17 dual-line
number 890 no-reg primary
label Test x890
description 123-456-7890
name Test User call-forward busy 799
call-forward noan 799 timeout 20
ephone 8
video
mac-address (IP Phone MAC Address)
ephone-template 10
username "cme890" password voicemail
paging-dn 1
type 7940
button 1:17
ephone 9
video
mac-address (IP Communicator MAC Address)
ephone-template 10
username "cme890" password voicemail
paging-dn 1
type CIPC
Thanks,
Phil..

Yeah, just add the button CLI for CIPC ephone to tie the DN (ephone-dn)
and then reset/restart the ephone.
