Ip Communicator issue

IP Communicator on Microsoft Surface.  Under Prefacence, Network options , to include tftp server is Grayed out. any idea's to why or how to work around?

At least on a regular PC the issue was most of the times permissions, a simple search of CSC will provide you that info, no idea if the surface has something like that, I don't believe we have ever tested CIPC on tablets.

Try running CIPC as administrator, then after changing settings go back to your normal user.

As scheived said, it is greyed out due to admin privileges.  Right click and then hit run as admin or set it to run as admin all the time by right clicking and then properties ---> compatibility then check Always run as admin.  Should have a little yellow and blue shield icon is i remember (I an OS X guy now).
