Should work with my IP Phone 6921 Cisco?

I have done those troubleshooting here:

I've DONE This

problems:

1. Verify that the network port is functional:

Exchange the Ethernet cables with cables that you know are functional.

Disconnect  a functioning Cisco Unified IP Phone from another port and connect it  to this network port to verify the port is active.

Connect the Cisco Unified IP Phone that will not start up to a different network port that is known to be good.

Connect  the Cisco Unified IP Phone that will not start up directly to the port  on the switch, eliminating the patch panel connection in the office.

2. Verify that the phone is receiving power:

3. If  the phone still does not start up properly, power up the phone with the  handset off-hook. When the phone is powered up in this way, it attempts  to launch a backup software image.

I enter the switch configuration, the device look as "not conected" and iether no CDP Protocol information.

¿Do you know what happen here?

Regards!

Hi,

I dont think your 3524 is compatable with a 69xx phone

3534 is really old and uses a Cisco propriety method for delivering POE but OK

with older 7940/60 type phones

69xx phones need POE as 802.3AF as delivered by newer 3750/3560 etc type switches

How about in 3550 inline power switch? I get the 6901 blinking but no luck of getting its IVR prompts. Does the 3550 doesnt support also the 69XX Phones. Many thanks.
