It is possible to disable the directory of calls (missed, received and placed calls) in a 7940 IP Phone?
Thanks for any help,
Andrea

No, because is hardcoded on the Firmware.
Sorry for the inconvinience.

Thanks a lot.
Clearly is impossible to set "zero" items on every missed, received or placed directory too? Isn't true?
Bye,
Andrea

You could break the directories URL in Enterprise Manager on Callmanager. Or maybe point to a page that queries for the model type of the phone and then forwards to the real directory URL if not a 7940.

I understand that directories of missed, received and placed calls are a functionality of the ephone and not the CM or CME. So playing with the directory service is no help in this case.

I concur with you...these are IP Phone and not CM functionality...
Thanks a lot everybody

Huh you're right. So have fun replacing the 7941s with 7905s. I'm surprised Cisco doesn't have a "privacy" phone load. Or at least offer an API for the phones.
