IP Phone 7945G

I have setup my IP phone with one default directory number. eg. 8456. I noticed that this number is setup at line 2.

How do i make sure that this directory number is setup at line 1 ?

I cannot find this settings in CUCM.

I m using CUCM 8.5.1.

The reason why I m asking is because I noticed that the default line 1 has more ringtone to configured while line 2 where my directory number is configured has only 7 ringtones.

I have users asking why can't they used line 1 instead.

First, you can rearrange the lines on a phone by going to the phone page in Device > Phone, and once you've selected your phone from the search results, choose the modify button at the top of the list of lines.

Second, the ringtone thing is a trouble spot for a lot of people. You have two options:

1) set the default ringtone for the phone to a fancy one, the set your line to use the default.

2) take a copy of the ringlist.xml file from TFTP and copy it to distinctiveringlist.xml. This will make both lists the same, but is more complex to setup and effects all phones.
