IP Phone Firmware in CME SRST Mode

Hi Team,

Our setup has been recently upgraded to CUCM 9.1 ( Publisher and Subscriber ) and has an Voice Gateway for PRI termination but the same has been used as CME in SRST mode and is still at version 8.1

Our primary concern is that the firmware of the IP Phones if there is an situation if it has to fallback on it. Will we need to upgrade the firmware files for the CME using the same firmware files which are being used for CUCM currently.

Current firmeware of 7962 on CUCM 9.1.2.11008_1
SCCP42.9-3-1SR2-1S

Current firmeware of 6941 on CUCM 9.1.2.11008_1
SCCP69xx.9-3-3-2-SR1

Previous firmware of 7962 on CME in fallback mode - 8.1 with flash c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-2.T1.bin
P0030702T023.loads
P0030702T023.bin
P0030702T023.sb2
P0030702T023.sbn

 hostname#sh telephony-service
CONFIG (Version=8.1)
=====================
Version 8.1
Max phoneload sccp version 17
Max dspfarm sccp version 18

Please let me know on the same.

Thanks in advance.

The phones will not download

The phones will not download firmware from the CME router when on SRST mode. So you don't have to worry about the firmware differences.
