MIC has 10 or 15 years of expiration period. MIC is not really meant to be used for authentication with CUCM. It is supposed to be used to establish trust with CAPF to get an LSC issued. When MIC expires, customers can get new LSC for the phones and they will be able to continue using PKI authentication with CUCM.
