IP Phone Not Registering

Hi Frenz,

Faced some issuse,dont know what went wrong.

Running CUCM 8.6 with only publisher,single site and all connected in LAN.Having around 500 IP phones consisting of cisco 3905,6941,7945 and 7937.

Everything was up and running from past 5 months and nothing has been changed.

3905 running with SIP and all other phone running with SCCP

Suddenly,today most of the cisco 3905 phones started showing "configuring IP" and at the same time 6941,7945 and 7937 were working fine.

after sometime it use to get registerd and after sometime again it started showing configuring IP.

DHCP server will release the IP Address for both voice and data vlan,have created separate pool,enabled option 150.

CUCM Is directly connected to my Core .

After restarting DHCP service everything is fine.I Really dont know what went wrong.

Anyone faced this issue.Any Ideas,suggestion ?

What kind of DHCP server?

Hi,

Again and again I faced the issue.

Its windows 2008 r2 server with IBM X3550 hardware.

DHCP server releases ip address for both DATA and Voice Vlan

I am totally confused now.

If you face this issue and the "fix" is to restart the Windows DHCP server, why are the server guys/gals blaming networks?
