Guys,
I am not very experienced in the VoIP and Cisco Call manager world. Have never even seen one or set one up :)
But I have a question.
If you have the most basic of setups.
Cisco Call manager server and two IP phones.
A phone would register with the call manager, and stuff happens, then lets say, the two IP phones start talking directly to each other using RTP.
Can this be secured using sRTP in this 3 device example?
Ie, can you get all 3 devices to run sRTP?
Its a little confusing searching the web, as everytime sRTP is mentioned, it talks about routers and IOS?
One last point if I may: IPSec has nothing to do with this, and you can run sRTP independantly of IPsec. Would that be correct?
Cheers for the help guys,
Ken

YEs SRTP can be used between 2 IP Phones.
and yes Audio is between the 2 IP Phones directly.
IPSEC is used in CCM for IOS GW to IP Phone communication.
